Roofing Insurance Claims
Roofing insurance claims might be a complicated issue, but we are well-versed in it. We are with you every step of the way, from start to finish.
Insurance Claims for roofing
We already have relationships with several insurance companies. This means we can answer any questions you have regarding your policy or deductible and assist you through the process of submitting roofing insurance claims if the need arises. Our staff collaborates directly with adjusters to help with damage assessment and assisting them with ladders.
Our qualified professionals handle roofing insurance claims with minimal effort on your part, the homeowner. We provide a wide range of services, including inspections and photo reports on the state of existing roofs and aid with items such as ladders in an emergency. If you believe a weather-related incident has caused damage to your roof, we can assist you in managing your roof insurance claim process.
We’re all aware that the exterior of your home is susceptible to inclement weather. You should always have adequate insurance coverage for your house. Always read your policy and understand your deductible and policy limitations. When looking for a roofing contractor, search for someone knowledgeable about your insurance company’s policies.
While it is critical to maintain adequate coverage, it is also vital to ensure that your contract does not include clauses for accidental damage from weather-related occurrences so that your roofing insurance claims are not rejected. Any storm can generate enough wind to inflict significant structural damage. We are available to assist you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays, so please don’t hesitate to call us if there is anything we can do!
placing roofing Insurance claims
If a storm damages your roof, the first thing you should do is contact your insurance provider and make a roofing insurance claim. It is critical to notify your agent if you have any emergency repairs to do, such as if your roof is leaking, to minimize further damage to the interior of your home.
Next, have a licensed roofing professional check your roof for damage. They will be able to determine the extent of any storm-related damage and offer you an estimate. All roof damage is documented, including vents, ventilation systems, flashing, turtle backs, pipes, gutters, soffits, and fascia.
If there is no damage, but you are concerned about your home’s exterior state, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our company. DO NOT PERFORM ANY REPAIRS ON YOUR OWN, AS THIS MAY VOID YOUR POLICY COVERAGE.
Your insurance company should notify you when an insurance adjuster will be dispatched. If you sign a contract with Stable Roofs, we will meet with your insurance adjuster at your house free of charge- conditioned on Stable Roofs getting the insurance company to pay for your new roof. We will also go over and highlight the damages discovered during our evaluation.
Once the adjuster has determined the amount of the damage, you will be given a summary of your roofing insurance claims. This document contains a list of everything covered by your insurance policy. We will compare the claim summary provided by the adjuster to our own. If an adjuster misses something, we will submit a supplemental claim to see if they will cover it. Sometimes, after beginning repairs on a storm-damaged house, we discover that more repairs are required, extra labor is needed, and the related expenses might climb. Stable Roofs will call the insurance company adjuster in this situation to file further roofing insurance claims.
Insurance claim Payout
Our contract fee will be equivalent to the money authorized by your insurance company, less your deductible and any additional claims that your insurance company does not pay. To assist with roofing insurance claims, Stable Roofs does not need a deposit. Your insurance company’s check should come within a week. Checks may be made payable to both you and your mortgage company, in which case they must be delivered to your mortgage company for endorsement (we can assist with this process).
There may be an extra check issued with the name of the mortgage company on it, in which case you must follow the same method as previously. The initial check may appear small in comparison to the entire cost of the roof. It’s because of two factors: your deductible and depreciation. In most cases, homeowners choose replacement cost coverage over actual cost value coverage.
With a replacement cost policy, we will recover (and collect) the depreciation taxes withheld by the insurance provider when the service is completed, and our final invoice is issued. The deductible is the amount deducted from your payment by the insurance provider that will never be reimbursed to you. In this situation, you must pay the deductible directly to Stable Roofs.
The total cost of replacing your roof includes the first insurance claim, deductible, depreciation, and any additional costs. If you hire a competent contractor like Stable Roofs, your roof will be in the best hands possible.
